After extensive testing and support from customers, Tekno has designed a new rear hinge pin brace that produces a lower roll center to improve traction and stability in all conditions. The new brace allows vehicles to square up better coming out of corners and provides easier on-off-power transitions. It is compatible with all of their 1/8th scale vehicles as well as the SCT410. K&B III The Outback facility in Kingsville, Ohio is getting set to host the 4th annual Mugen Challenge. This three day event features a Joey Christensen built layout, product giveaways, racer social with live band, free t-shirts for first 100 entries, and to top it off this is a charity event benefiting the local Lions Club. The 6th round of the 2014 JBRL Electric Series took place at Pegasus Hobbies Raceway in Montclair, California on July 12th. Over 180 total entries signaled that good competition was in attendance. The track was tight, and traction was crazy. Qualifying went pretty well for Tekno team drivers Rudy Rico and Carlos Arredondo, but neither managed a TQ this round, HOWEVER, it’s the mains that count, and that’s where they shined. Rudy went on to take the win in Pro4 AND E-Buggy with Carlos finishing up second. Read more…
The 2nd Annual Pro-Line Indoor Champs held at Warehouse 3 Raceway in Phoenix, Arizona wrapped over this past weekend. Tekin factory driver, Chris Wheeler, was in attendance showcasing his latest Tekin RSX Gen2 powered TLR ride. Chris would put his Tekin powered TLR 22 SCT 2.0 on the P1 position taking rounds 2 and 3 in qualifying. Using the Tekin RSX and 7.5 Redline Gen2 motor for power Wheeler would start from the 1 spot on the grid and would lead wire to wire in the 10 minute A-main to take the TQ and win for the 2nd year in a row.
