Round 3 of the Slovenian Nationals took place recently in Blatni Dol. In the competitive E-Buggy class it was XRAY’s Andraž Štefe who set the pace in qualifying, taking the overall TQ. Štefe was unchallenged as he cruised to victory ahead of Andrej Abramič and Nejc Oražem.
Schumacher Racing’s young gun, Micha Widmaier, is on a roll! After winning the 4wd German Junior Championship not long ago, he has continued his reign on the junior class by winning the 2wd German Junior Championship as well!

Last weekend hosted latest round of the Midwest Nitro Series held at LiveRC Raceway just outside of Green Bay, Wisconsin. The event hosted 160+ of the regions fastest drivers. Serpent’s Mike Truhe hopped on a plane to make the journey all the way from California for the event. Truhe’s trip was a success as he captured the overall TQ spot in Pro Buggy, and converted that to a dominating victory in the final.
Liverpool Radio Rallycross Car Club was the venue for the 2014 New South Wales State Titles. The competition was still fierce. There was a little rain every day, but this made for a black grooved track, super consistent surface, and a killer layout. It would be TLR’s Shane Kelly who dominated the event taking a solid win in both GP Buggy and GP Truggy classes. XRAY’s Ari Bakla would finish up second in the buggy class, followed by Kevin Lewis. In the GP Truggy class it was Chris Lander and Dragen Bjelic who followed Kelly across the line to finish out the podium. Read more…
On September 5th – 7th, Dave’s RC Track in Hubbard, Oregon hosted the 5th Annual NW Invitational race on a glorious weekend of outdoor fun in the blazing sun. Previously, the great NW Invitationals were held at a tight, indoor clay track, but due to track closures and changes race organizer and Kyosho/Orion team manager Joe Pillars, decided to host this year’s event on an huge outdoor, loamy “dirt” dirt track. What do 1/10th scale off road electric drivers get up to in the UK when the weather starts to turn towards winter? Well quite a lot of them have taken to racing indoors with 1/16th scale buggies, and nowhere more so than at Caldicot RC Racers who hosted the season-opening event ‘UK Micro X 2014’ on September 6th and 7th at their fantastic venue in South Wales. A host of well-known names from the UK scene made their way to the spiritual home of this class of racing for what has become a must-attend event for anyone in the Micro know, and Shaun Thompson recaps all the action!
