It’s tradition for many of USA’s best offroad racers to brave the winter weather and kickoff the new year by doing battle at the CRCRC Winter Midwest Championships each year. Organizers have officially announced full details and dates of this year’s electric and nitro (separate weekends) championships. As always, The Ohio R/C Factory facility will host these events, providing racers with top notch indoor pitting, competitive track layout, and all around good times! For the fourth year in a row, Mike Garrison (of RCNews & NeoBuggy) is teaming up with Fastlane Raceway, Venom Batteries, and a long list of additional sponsors to present the annual Venom Offroad JAM! This 3-day event features Friday practice, Saturday qualifying, and Sunday mains. In addition to the traditional race program, the JAM provides racers a unique and fun experience with huge giveaways, special awards such as ‘Fast Lap’ and ‘Worst Weekend’, Dash for Cash money race, and more!
This year’s event is especially unique as the Offroad JAM has teamed up with multi-time World Champion, Jared Tebo, for the first ever JTU (Jared Tebo University) Driving School and more!
Besides the regular FEMCA sanction national league in Malaysia, a group of R/C offroad enthusiast; RC NGO Club, RC Local Hobby Shops, RC Off-road racers and RC Off-road icons have collaborate to organize an all region championship in Malaysia in 2015 called Malaysia Regional Championship (Off-road) League, MRC for short.
The MRC organization says, “The collaboration is made possible by synergizing each of the expertise and skill sets that exist within this pioneer group, both from their normal professional 9-5 career and passion towards the RC Motorsports combined. Yes, we are positioning RC as a motorsports, be it an RC Motorsports Hobby or RC Motorsports racing. In MRC, it will be an RC Motorsports (Off-road) Racing as the primary activity amongst others.” Read more…
The 2014 Toys 4 Tots took place in Flowood, Mississippi this past weekend. This was not only a race but a great time of the year to give to the less fortunate kids. The schedule for this event was Friday practice, Saturday 3 rounds of rocket round qualifying with single a-mains. Tekin’s Martin Harrison would dominate the electric classes, as he piloted his TLR lineup to a win in Pro-4, E-Truggy, AND E-Buggy. An impressive set of wins for Harrison, all for a good cause.
The annual ‘Fall Brawl’ event from The Badlands R/C Supercross gathered a wide variety of offroad racers this past weekend, including some of the nations best. Racing took place in a variety of classes as well. One of those classes was 2wd Mod Buggy. Tekin’s John Michael McGinty III drove his way to TQ in qualifying. The final would see an epic battle between McGinty and Collin Hanna swapping positions and laying down fast laps. In the end, Hanna would cross the line first for an impressive ‘Fall Brawl’ win with McGinty in second.
Schumacher is pleased to announce the full dates for the Schumacher BTCC series 2015. 6 events this year culminating in a BTCC/KO GP event at West London for the last round. Reviving the KO GP style meeting that was lost over the years. More details on all the events will be available soon, but the racers can expect; great prizes from Schumacher’s range of products, race trophies, tracks open for practice on the Saturday if you wish, relaxed atmosphere with simple scrutineering but most importantly good fun racing!
