The recent Byron Fuels Nitro Onroad Challegne was held at Leisure Hours Speedway in Joliet, Illinois. For the final round of the Euro Touring Series (ETS), team VBC Racing driver Olivier Bultynck would travel to Hudy Arena to do battle in the growing Formula 1 class. Using his LightningF, Bultynck found himself starting second on the grid for the A-Finals behind David Ehrbar. Multi-round winner Jan Ratheisky lined up third on the grid.
After a smooth and steady start, Olivier swept into the lead in A1 early on. A mistake with only laps to go by Bultynck made for an exciting drag race to the finish against Ratheisky. Olivier would take the win by a hair. A2 would once again see Olivier quickly sneak into the lead on lap 1. This time he would drive mistake free as he cruised to the win, clenching the overall Formula class victory at Hudy Arena.
