XRAY has just released their all-new front upper arm mount and lower suspension arms for the X10 and X12 cars, made from specially-formulated graphite composite material. The extra strong material makes the car more stable and improves steering response, recommended for high-traction conditions or in hot weather. Marked “R” and “L” for easy identification, lightweight, and extra strong.
Round 1 of the South Swedish Indoor Cup was held this past weekend in Vaxjo, Sweden. XRAY’s Markus Hellquist set the pace early with the fastest times in qualifying, but a rough start to the finals looked to eliminate Hellquist from any chance of victory. Despite a troublesome A1, Hellquist fought back to win A2 and A3 for the overall victory on the day. Daniel Carlsson charged hard for a second place overall finish, with Jonas Andersson wrapping up third.
The 2014 South Island Onroad Championships were hosted by Otago R/C Car Club in Dunedin, New Zealand recently. Team Associated’s Ian Rickery dominated the action packed event by driving his way to victory in the highly competitive Modified Touring Car class, and backed it up with an impressive 1/12 Modified class win as well!
More news of big changes at Team Durango has hit our inbox this morning, as the official announcement of Elliott Harper departing Team Durango has been made. It’s no secret that Durango is taking on a new direction, and it seems as though this new direction includes many of their top drivers stepping away (first Ryan Lutz, and now Elliott Harper). These departures seem to be in agreement with Team Durango, as both have said “Thank You” to Durango for agreeing to an early release from their contracts. Read more…
Round one of the 2014-15 BRCA 1/12 Nationals took place in West Kent, UK. With a full entry for round one it was shaping up to be a great event and season. The popularity of 1/12 in the UK has increased over the past two seasons which is great to see for one of R/C racing’s oldest class. Read more…
Round 2 of the Rebels Race was held this past weekend in Trutnov. Serpent’s Michal Blahovsky took a clean sweep of the Open Class after he secured TQ in qualifying, and went on to win every final. Serpent teammate, Ivo Trojan, carried on the slithering success by taking TQ and the win in the Formula Class.
