    Caroli wins at South African 1/8 Champs

    The final round of the South African Nitro Onroad Championships was held at RC Zone Middelburg this past weekend. In the 1/8 scale class Wayne Joelson was the man to beat by taking TQ with XRAY driver Antonio Caroli having bad luck being disqualified in two of the qualifying rounds due to his car being under the minimum weight limit having lost weights during two of the qualifying rounds. Antonio made up for that in the final round by qualifying in second place and setting the fastest lap of the last round. In the finals Wayne Joelson ran out of fuel on lap 80 with Antonio Caroli taking the lead. Antonio took the win by thirteen seconds in front of a hard charging Ayrton Vermaak. Read more…

    The brand new Team Edition chassis plate for the Velox V10 “PRO” has been developed, and successfully tested by their factory team drivers at this years European Championship in Valencia where Shepherd was the strongest manufacturer in the main final. This extra hard chassis plate is CNC-machined from the finest German 7075 T6 aluminium and meets the highest quality standards. The combination of the super-strong material and the updated battery cutout results in a completely new flex characteristic of the chassis improving the overall traction under all conditions. An additional cutout for the middle bearing block prevents it from twisting and keeps the belts always in a perfect straight line. Available now.

    RDRP’s new Ultra Motor Distance Plates

    Revolution Design Racing Products have introduced the new Ultra Motor Distance Plate Set that helps to fine-tune the weight distribution of a variety of vehicles such as in-line motored offroad buggies or touring cars with transversal motor position. The shims help to shift the motor forth and back or left and right in order to optimize weight distribution without the need for additional weights. On pan cars the plates also adjust the weight balance of the rear pod if needed. Motors with ultra long shafts can be re-shimmed to avoid any contact between the shaft and the battery pack or other equipment. Coming as a set of a 1.0mm and one 2.0mm plate, both are made of black anodized and laser-etched high-quality aluminium for that factory look. Read more…
