PROTOform is taking aim at 1:12 Stock and Super Stock classes with their new 1:12 race body, the Strakka-12. Modelled after an all-new racecar contending in the WEC series, the Strakka-12 is a reduced-downforce alternative to the ultra-successful AMR-12. This race body will help your 1:12 Stock or SuperStock car slip around the track efficiently without scrubbing too much all-important corner speed. Modified racers looking for a less downforce on super high grip tracks can also use the Strakka-12, attaching the add-on Gurney Flap marked out in the back of the body. Read more…

The 2014 Russian Championship was held near Penza, Russia this past weekend. Low grip and a highly abrasive track surface made for some interesting racing. XRAY’s Alexander Naumov started on the pole position of the 1/10 Nitro Touring class final, however, would have an early battle with Vladislav Glebov to hold the top spot. As they reached the halfway point, Naumov had gapped the field by nearly 3 laps. He would carry on for an impressive win with Glebov finishing second and Sergei Piskunov finishing third.
