The Urban RC Indoor Masters was the first indoor carpet Touring Car and Buggy event in Singapore in the past few years. The event was held in the 17.5 Touring, Formula, EuroTruck, 2WD Mini and 4WD Mini classes but also in the 2WD and 4WD buggy classes at a local community centre and attracted many spectators. A drift event was also run right behind the track. In the 17.5 Touring Car class, Dominic Quek (XRAY/Hobbywing/Sunpadow) was setting the pace. He won all the qualifying rounds and won in the first 2 A-finals, giving him the win. The battle for the podium spots was fierce between PY Tang (ARC), Esmail Apandi and local XRAY driver EC Wee, with PY and E.Apandi eventually holding on to their second and third qualifying spots respectively.
The track was then converted to off-road layout and open for practice for a few hours. Traction was immediately up and the drivers worked hard into the night getting used to the unique surface as this was the first time racing on carpet for most of them. Local XRAY driver E.Apandi set the Top Qualifier spot but he had to fight hard for the win in the 2WD Buggy class, passing Julien Foo on the final lap of A3 to take the win. J.Foo and Don Cheo completed the podium.
