The XRS Austria was held at the 1.MRC Wiener Neustadt track near Vienna. The race was held in 4 classes including Touring Modified, Stock 13.5, Stock 17.5 and a very popular new FWD class and attracted the multi-time European Champion as well as World Champion Jan Ratheisky (XRAY). In the Touring Modified class, the battle for the victory will be between J.Ratheisky and Patrick Gollner (XRAY). After four tight qualifiers, P.Gollner was able to secure all 4 rounds and thus took TQ followed by J.Ratheisky and Sascha Klug (Serpent). In the first final P.Gollner was able to take the victory but in the 2nd final he made a small mistake and had to give up the victory to J.Ratheisky. Despite the pression, P.Gollner was able to prevail, followed by J.Ratheisky in second and S.Klug in third.
In the Touring Stock 13.5 class, J.Ratheisky was the man to beat. He set the overall TQ by winning all four qualifying rounds and took easily the finals in front of Rene Petrik (XRAY) in second and Markus Fuhrmann in third.
Jurgen Linsberger sweeps the Touring Stock 17.5T class by winning all the rounds of qualifying and finals. Christian Machalik and Fabian Fuhrmann rounded out the top 3.
In the FWD class, J.Ratheisky was able to take the TQ and also win all the finals from Andreas Teubl in second and Roman Kernegger in third.
