The first round of the XRS Alpe Adria was held in Tolmin over the weekend. The race was held in the three classes including Touring Modified, Touring 13.5 XRS and 1/8th Nitro On-road. The race started on Saturday with free practice, on Sunday started with 2 timed rounds and later with 4 qualifiers for electric classes and 3 qualifiers for 1/8th Nitro On-road class. In Touring Stock it was Patrik Pozgaj (XRAY) who set the TQ while in Touring Modified, Alojzij Osvald (XRAY) took the overall TQ. In 1/8th Nitro On-road class it was the new XRAY driver Nejc Mihelic who took the TQ. The Touring Stock saw a fight for the lead between P.Pozgaj and Zeljko Selman (XRAY). At the end P.Pozgaj brought home the win in front of Z.Selman in second and Darko Nemec (XRAY) in third.
In the Touring Modified class A.Osvald was in a dominant form winning all 3 finals. But it was a very close fight for the remaining podium places with the next 3 drivers having the same points after the 3 finals. The second place went to Rok Rudl (XRAY) and the third place to Nejc Marcic (XRAY).
In the 1/8 IC track class it was to be a fight for the win between Jernej Vuga Stendler (XRAY) and N.Mihelic. Since there was a huge tire wear, the organisers decided to split the main final into 2×15-minute finals and sum the laps together to avoid tire change, since many drivers had only part time mechanics. The first final started with N.Mihelic in front and J.Vuga Stendler following him closely, but then N.Mihelic had a flame out and J.Vuga Stendler also had a crash, but J.Vuga Stendler was still in front although with a damaged rear tire. N.Mihelic tried to close the gap but could not catch J.Vuga Stendler till the end. In the second final N.Mihelic did not have any problems and was faster than J.Vuga Stendler who had some clutch problems and could not push a lot, but J.Vuga Stendler could managed the gap from the first final and eventually won the final in front of N.Mihelic while Denis Fink (Mugen) rounded out the top 3.
