Once a year, the highest level of Chinese youth competition is held, this year at the Feishen track in Yongkang City, Zhejiang Province. The event attracted many young people from Beijing, Shanghai, Guangdong and other places. In 1/10 Electric Touring Car, there were three rounds of qualifications where the two best results counted. For 1/10 Nitro Car, there were also three rounds of qualifications, but the only one best result counted from three rounds. In the 1/10 Electric Touring Car class it was Alfred Lao (XRAY) who took the overall TQ by winning the two last qualifiers. In the 1/10 Nitro Touring Car class it was Ma Haoran (XRAY) from Guangzhou who set the TQ from A.Lao.

In the first 1/10 Electric Touring Car final, two laps after the start, although there was a collision after start, A.Lao could continue the race and kept the first place till the end. A.Lao started very smoothly in the second leg. M.Haoran in second was chasing him hardl until the A.Lao’s car has an issue on the third lap. Eventually, M.Haoran took the win. A.Lao was highly concentrated for the third final. He started smoothly and lead the whole final and bringing it to the finish and so finally won the championship in front of M.Haora in second and and Nicholas Xu (XRAY) in third.

In the 45 minutes 1/10 Nitro Touring Car final after the start, A.Lao chased the leader’s car and finally managed to overtook it in the second lap but his car rolled over and also hit by some cars causing the breakage of his body shell. A.Lao’s car was back to the pit area for maintenance and back to the track immediately. Unfortunately the engine of M.Haoran has shut down suddenly and A.Lao took this advantage to keep the first position till the end and won his second championship. M.Haoran and Fan Yiding (XRAY) rounded out the podium.

A.Lao also joined the Open category, the top level of Chinese competition at the Feishen track in Yongkang City, Zhejiang Province. In wet condition it was Felix Lo from Hong Kong who took the overall TQ from A.Lao and M.Haoran. The final was held the next day, it was a sunny day and the surface of the track was dry. After a close battle the first four minutes, A.Lao overtook the first car successfully and kept the first place until the end. Li Cong (XRAY) from Guangzhou finished in second and a lady from Shenzhen called Tse Feng Ying came in third.
