Clayton Young sweeps Jackon´s Race Of Champions

The Jackon´S Race Of Champions was held at the Jackson R/C track in Jackson, New Jersey. In the USGT class qualifying was fairly uneventful.  Clayton Young (XRAY) was able to set the pole in round one and improve on it in round two.  Jake “From State Farm” Burden (Awesomatix) was able to qualify second with local driver Charles Bruno (Tamiya) rapped up the top three. The A Main started off as the sun was setting.  The track was a little loose after the 30 minute nitro main, but the race started clean.  The battle was on for the second spot between J.Burden, C.Bruno and Gene White (XRAY), which allowed C.Young to set sail and start running up to the back of the pack. C.Bruno was able to get around J.Burden to take the second spot leaving J.Burden and G.White battling for third. A little over half way saw C.Young lapping J.Burden and G.White, getting loose, and giving J.Burden a body tuck effectively giving Gene the third spot. C.Young took the win with C.Bruno taking the second spot and G.White in 3rd.
