The Jamrock RC Car Club and its partner RMP & Associates LTD hosted the RMP Challenge 2018. This was the 7th staging of the race event which was specifically developed to improve participation in model-racing on the island of Jamaica. For 2018 the event had a record breaking prize of $1500 (US Dollars) being shared among all the classes. Also for the first time, the event had participation of competitors from the international RC community (Trinidad & Tobago). The event started on Saturday with practice along with test & tune. Sunday featured early practice, and then moved into qualifying and finally the mains. The weather however, did not allow for the mains to run in its entirety and hence the end of the race event was called by the race management.
