The 2017 Midwest Indoor Championships has come to an end. The 6th annual race was held at Genesis RC Raceway, the premier carpet track in Minnesota put on by the Skewes’ family. The track layout was technical with multiple switch backs, a high speed chicane, and high bite black carpet. This track is known for having some of the highest traction in the country. In the super stock touring class XRAY’s Rob Love was able to secure the overall TQ. Rob was able to get off to clean a start in the main and never looked back. XRAY’s duo Eric Schneeweis and Anthony Swift were racing some hard fought battles with AE’s Eric Swanson and Cole Tollard. In the end Love would take the win in front of Swanson in second and Schneeweis in third.
In the stock class Rob Love was able to continue leading the charge and secured the TQ and overall win. Paul Doyle and Anthony Swift rounded out the top 3.
The USGT had some of the closest racing of the event. In the main Love bumped on the first corner allowing teammate Eric Schneeweis to get by. This race was very tight and Rob and Eric traded positions a couple of times meanwhile XRAY’s Dan Crain moved into the third position.
