This past weekend was held the 2017 gulf coast Grand Prix at Mikes Hobbytown in Porter, Texas. The race had attendees from all 3 coasts, California, Florida, and Texas. From the start of the GT final XRAY driver Nick Lefebvre was able to move into second within just a few laps trailing serpent’s Marcus Williams who was leading. Marcus would need to make an extra fuel stop during the 30 minute main event. This would give him the gap he needed, Marcus had one more stop to do. Nick was able to hang onto the lead and cross the line to take the win from Marcus in second and Jeff Whiting in third.
In the 1/10 sedan class Ron Atomic took the overall TQ from Chris Kemper and Ethan. In the 30 minute main Ron would run into issues and fall back, Ethan and Chris would battle, but Chris was able to take the lead and hold off a hard charging Ethan for the win.
