Swiss 1/10 & 1/8 National Rd3 report

Last weekend was held the third round of Swiss nationals in Herblingen where track conditions changed with every heat increasing grip to the maximum, so it was a bit of work to find a constant setup. In the 1/10 qualification heats Shepherd’s Maurice Lüscher took the overall TQ. XRAY driver Patrick Fankhauser won the superpole and secured the 2nd spot for the A final.

At the beginning Patrick grabbed the lead and pushed it hard to have enough space for the tyre change. After that, he was on 3rd spot, chasing Maurice and his teammate Michael Schäfer. With fresh kicks Patrick could push it to the limit and speeded up to the leader, but he couldn’t pass before the finish line, standing one second behind. Maurice took the win from Patrick in second and Michael in third, while championship leader Traugott Schär fought with a damaged car from a crash at start but he managed to achieve the 4th place.

In the 1/8 class it was Shepherd driver Simon Kurzbuch who took the win in front of ARC’s Silvio Hächler in second and XRAY driver Luca Martinelli in third.
