Last weekend was held the Neujahrscup in Lingen, germany. The Formula 1 class was based on the ETS rules and had an entry of 37 drivers from Germany and the Benelux countries. On saturday morning the race weekend started with some practice to make a receeding for the qualifications on sunday morning. Marcel Ellisson pushed his Velox F1 to the limit and won all four rounds of qualification nearly 2 laps in front of second fastest driver Michael Schröder. Sander Borghoff from the Netherlands was the surprise of the weekend as he qualified on the 6th position for the A-main.
Some tense moments in the first two A-mains resulted in a DNF for Marcel while Sander finished two times third. In the third and fourth A-main Marcel was back and won these two rounds. Sander Borghoff finished second in A-main number three and fifth in the last one. At the end these results where good enough for Marcel to take the overall win in front of Michael Schröder in second, Rene Fischer in third and Sander Borghoff in fourth.
