The penultimate round of Jakarta Regional was held this past weekend, under a cloudy sky with a bit rain. It was John Agus who posted an early authority with his OS powered Kyosho for the Q1 win, ahead of Jason Nugroho who made a number of mistakes which sent him off 3 seconds from John. Q2 saw revenge from Jason as he posted an early 14 laps, with the grip level rising on the track. He set a hot lap of 41.0 seconds, which is a new track record and narrowly missed the 40 second barrier. Adrian Sutanto boosted his OS powered TLR to a Q3 win, creating 3 different TQ’s for each round. Jason would secured the overall TQ thanks to his 1-2 finished in an earlier round. Sutanto lined up in 2nd ahead of John, Rama Tribudiman and Adrian Wicaksono.
The final would see close racing between the entire pack of drivers, but in the end it was the Team Associated car of Rama Tribudiman who would cross the line in first. TLR’s Chopin Yusuf managed a second place finish on the day, with the Mugen of Adrian Wicaksono in third.
