Race Report by: Team Associated
Team Associated/Reedy drivers Brandon Marsh, Eric Clark, Nathan Clark, Barry Goodwin, Galen McCreary, and Brandon Weiland attended the 1st annual North American Indoor Championships. The race brought in approximately 160 entries across the ten classes that were offered. Most of the team drivers decided to compete in all three modified classes, with the exception of Brandon Weiland and Erik Clark. Both ran the Modified 2WD Buggy class, but Weiland competed in the Modified 4WD Buggy class and Clark competed in the Modified Truck class.
In Modified Truck, Team Associated RC10T5M Team Kits took the top five positions in qualifying. Austin Weiland TQ’d. The main event started with an early battle between Austin and Marsh, but after a small mistake by Austin, Marsh was able to take the lead and never look back. Eric Clark moved into second and Galen McCreary third. This completed the Associated sweep of the truck podium.
In Modified 4WD Buggy, Brandon Marsh took the TQ with his Reedy-powered Factory Team B44.3. In the main event Marsh was able to lead wire-to-wire to take the win while Brandon Weiland and Nathan Clark came in second and third respectively, thus giving Team Associated the second sweep of the weekend.
In Modified 2WD Buggy, Brandon Marsh took the TQ with his Reedy-powered RC10B5M Team Kit. The rest of the team filled in the majority of the A Main. Marsh was able to lead from start to finish to take the win while Brandon Weiland and Eric Clark came in second and third respectively – making it the third Associated podium sweep of the weekend!
