Mullink motors to Dutch Nat’l Rd.2 win

Bart Mullink

Round 2 of the Dutch Nationals took place at the high speed astro track of Bomb in Wouwse Plantage. Light rain made the racing surface quite slippery to start off qualifying, and soon sunny skies quickly dried out the track. Qualifying was a toss-up between Kurt Van Vlemen, Bart Mullink, and Sander Van Genechten, all of which would take a round victory. The overall TQ went to Mullink. The final started off with a brilliant battle between Mullink and Jordy Velder for the lead. A small mistake by Velder allowed Mullink to slowly pull away, and never look back.

Bart Mullink would take his Agama/Bullitt/Graupner buggy to victory ahead of the Mugen of Jordy Velder in second. Third place would come down to the final corner where Sander made a slight mistake, allowing the XRAY of Jarno Pijpers to take the position away.
