The second round of the UK based Northern Regional Series headed even further north to the Central Scottish Offroad Club, with the CSOR team building a challenging new layout for the drivers. The day started with intense bright sunshine which carried through right until the start of the fast heat in which hail and snow waylaid any thought of putting in a fast time.
Second round and disater could not strike twice, right? Well apparently it does in Scotland! with what can only be described as a blizzard striking as the fast heat hit the track. With round 3 looming and several of the quicker drivers looking to miss the A main due to the weather a dry heat 4 resulted in some normality of order resuming! The weather calamity however resulting in Sworkz driver Chris Sharpe-Simkiss taking overall TQ.
A thankfully dry A main resulted in a clear split in laptimes with those who genuinely had pace and those who were boosted to the A main with the weather affected qualifying. Dave Crompton taking the win with his Radiosistemi RR8, Reds R7 engine, Savox servos and Sanwa radio. Stuart Mahon taking 2nd driving an SWorkz EVOII, RB engine, Xpert servos and Sanwa radio. Gavin Uttley in 3rd driving an Radiosistemi RR8, Werks B6 engine, Xpert servos amd Sanwa radio.
