Twilling & Truhe win Novak Offroad Race

This past weekend hosted the 2015 Novak Offroad Race in Omaha, Nebraska at the Hobbytown USA HobbyPLEX facility. The event gathered 200+ entries, and made for a weekend full of exciting racing. In attendance were many of the midwest’s fastest drivers, with the addition of Novak team driver Mike Truhe and Novak founder Bob Novak.

All eyes were on the 2wd and 4wd Modified Buggy classes as the double A-Main format had everyone on the edge of their seat. The 2wd Mod Buggy class saw the Serpent of Mike Truhe snake its way to the front for the overall win ahead of Team Associated’s Chad ‘Rico’ Karstens and Neil Feneis. The 4wd Mod Buggy class belonged to Team Associated’s Michael Twilling after a wheel-to-wheel battle with TLR’s Alex Sturgeon. Twilling would win A-1 with ‘Rico’ Karstens 2nd and Tom Rinderknecht 3rd. A2 would see Alex Sturgeon return to the front to take the win, with Twilling in second. While Sturgeon won the final battle, Twilling had won the war with an impressive 1-2 finish on the day.
