Round 1 of the MRC Borneo league kicked off this past weekend at the Padawan RC Track. Heavy rains leading up to the event finally cleared enough for racers to take the track on race day. 32 racers joined in for Round 1 of the series, and made for some great racing. Kent Sung, driving his new Tekno NB48, managed to take the TQ spot in qualifying. The 45-minute final displayed a brilliant battle between Sung, Voon Woo Kheong, and Zee Pui. The three drivers swapped the lead time and time again. With only 10-minutes remaining, Kent Sung worked his way to the front and began to stretch out his lead. Sung managed to hold the lead and take the checkered flag. Zee Pui would finish 2nd with his Hong Nor X3, and Voon Woo Kheong 3rd.
