Top Regional and National drivers converge on the Ohio RC Factory for the 28th running of the CRCRC Electric Midwest Offroad Championships this weekend in Jeffersonville, Ohio. This event draws more than 450 entries each year running all electric offroad classes.
The Ohio RC Factory has hosted this event for the past 6 years and has built a challenging track for the Championships. The surface is high bite river bed top soil shaped and compacted well. The design features a wall turn, concrete curbing, and a mixture of jumps that work well for stock, Mod and 8th scale vehicles. The flowing layout provides for very close racing times between the top drivers.
Practice has concluded and seeding for qualifying is complete with JP Richards, Ryan Cavalieri, and Jared Tebo on top of the 2wd Mod Buggy class which seeded 120 people. The second largest class with 117 entries is 4wd Mod Buggy where Jared Tebo took top honors in front of Mitchell Gardner and Ryan Cavalieri. Super fast laps from these guys. The 8th Scale Electric Buggy class seeding went to Dylan Gerard with Joe Bornhorst and Matt Olsen rounding out to top three. The 2wd Stock Buggy class, using SMC hand out motors, was lead by Paul Ciccarello ahead of Bax Madden and Curt Schlichter.
Qualifying starts today and will conclude tomorrow. CLICK HERE to watch the live race coverage via LiveRC.com!
