Indy R/C World hosted their annual ‘Lone Star Classic’ this past weekend in Garland, Texas. The event saw the faces of top pro drivers including XRAY’s Josh Wheeler, Kyosho’s Cody King, local hero Josh Glancy, and many more. Despite the competition, it was TLR’s Taylor ‘Playboy’ Petersen who qualified on top the field in both 1/8 Buggy and 1/8 Truggy classes. After a mechanical failure for Josh Wheeler in 1/8 Buggy, Taylor Petersen would take over the lead and cruise to victory with Cody King in second place, and Texas native Tyler Hooks in third. In 1/8 Truggy it was a one on one battle with Petersen and Glancy at the start, but eventually Petersen would pull away for the win. Glancy took home second, with Wade Moore third.
