Round 1 of the Danish Indoor Nationals was held at the sports hall in Randers, Denmark this past weekend. The track surface was not carpet designed for R/C racing, but instead a long haired surface which quickly tangled and gathered within the cars. Despite the strange surface and lack of traction, the track layout had racers all smiling as it was fast, fun, and flowing.
Serpent’s Patrick Hornum set the pace in qualifying, taking the overall TQ spot. XRAY’s Mike Gosvig was a close second, making his T4’15 debut. As the finals got underway Gosvig would lead A1 early on, but a collision between the two allowed Hornum to take the lead and win. Hornum went on to win A2 relatively easily, as carnage ensued behind him. This allowed Hornum to take the overall Round 1 win in the championship ahead of Gosvig and Morten Iversen.
