This past weekend wrapped up the 2014 Midwest Nitro Series as the final round was hosted by Leisure Hours Raceway in Joliet, Illinois. Rain and cold weather made for a slim turnout compared to previous rounds, but still great racing nonetheless. As the rain set in, the outdoor track was far too wet for racing, therefore the racing was moved to Leisure Hours indoor offroad track.
Despite a bit of trouble with lapped traffic in the Pro Buggy Final, TLR’s Tyler Jones captured TQ and a 2nd place overall for the round. With a total of 3 TQ’s, 2 wins, and 2 second place finishes for the series, the young gun would take the overall Midwest Nitro Series title for the Pro Buggy class!
