After an intense hour long final it was Robert Batlle who claimed victory at this past weekend’s Montpellier GP. Both Elliot Boots and Renaud Savoya proved dangerous to his chances of victory until Elliot’s car broke and Renaud experienced a flame out. A determined Batlle maintained his lead with a comfortable gap from TQ man Darren Bloomfield and at this stage it didn’t look like Bloomfield could catch him.
That being said with only two minutes left Bloomfield made an almighty charge and passed Batlle but ran out of fuel moments later! As a result the lead was handed back over to Batlle who crossed the line in first place with Darren Bloomfield and Reno Savoya completing the podium.
