Prototype TRF511 4WD Spotted

Our friends over at NeoBuggy reports… The 4WD second half of the Worlds kicked into action this morning and after being denied ‘Under the Hood’ access to Tamiya’s 4WD, we decided to put our hoodie on and snap some spy shots when no one was looking, a bit silly as it didn’t take very long to take the photos.

We caught up with Tamiya’s star driver Lee Martin, high on confidence after his 2nd place finish in 2WD who let us in on some of the secrets of the TRF 511 prototype that the team are running: First of all the car hasn’t been finalised, still in prototype stage, the chassis is longer, although Lee didn’t know how much, simply ‘its longer’ – the motor position has been changed however the suspension geometry is the same as before. Lee added that they’re running gear diffs front and rear but that’s nothing new, also LMR wing and the new Pro-Line Phantom body, as designed by Lee. Read more here.
