Neo Buggy reports – “Kyosho driver David Ronnefalk followed up on his TQ promise by delivering a 2nd Swedish title to his bulging trophy cabinet at home. As the finals day approached the sharp end, small rain sprinkles threatened but nothing too bad to delay the racing. The 30 mins semis were lengthy affairs and saw Ronnefalk cruise to the win in Semi A, albeit chased hard for a couple of laps at the start.
Semi B saw a slightly damper track which threw up slippy sections; this wouldn’t stop Christoffer Svensson throwing his car around pushing like crazy – driving with a hunder, desire and purpose lacking in recent years. He took an easy ‘B’ win but only lined up 5th.
The only other big news from the semis were a sad end for Euro-B hopeful Marcus Sandberg, repeated engine cuts ruining his hopes of a decent final run. The end of Semi B witnessed a pretty sweet fight for the last couple of bump ups, Kennie Ekenstierna vs. Matthias Larsson vs. Per Carlsson; the latter being pipped to the final by Kennie with all of 0.6 sec to spare.”
