Jefferies & Smith win Reedy Cotswold National

“Olly Jefferies and Zak Smith are really getting in to their stride with the Associated TC6. The second round of the BRCA national touring car championship was renamed the Reedy Cotswold national in memory of the recent passing of Mike Reedy; fittingly it saw victory in both classes for Reedy powered cars. Olly Jefferies had a troubled qualifying session during Saturday but finished on a high with the fastest time in round five on Sunday morning. This was enough to give him second place on the grid for the A final behind pole man Andy Moore. In the first A final Olly took the an early lead and quickly established a comfortable lead. He went on to win leg one ahead of another TC6 in the hands of privateer Chris Kerswell. Alan Bickerstaff had a disappointing final. After some strong runs on Saturday, Alan netted an excellent seventh on the grid for the A final, however problems with water in the electrics saw Alan fail to even finish lap one of the final! It was a disappointing result after such a solid qualifying performance.”
