This is an annual event held in a park that coincides with a many other local activites, making it a very popular meeting, that quickly becomes over subscribed when entries open. About 18 English drivers made the trip over and all thoroughly enjoyed the meeting. Schumacher UK Team Driver Tom Cockerill was one of the Brits that made the trip over. The track was open for free practice before the event, with some dedicated drivers arriving the Monday before! Most people arrived on the Thursday or Friday to setup camp and have some track time before the racing started on Saturday. 2wd qualifying started in bright sunshine and temperatures around 26C. The first round was very close between Tom Cockerill and Wouter Wynen, with Wouter edging out Tom by less than 1sec. Round 2 was another close race between these two drivers, but this time Tom came out on top by a similar margin. Halfway through Round 3 and the heavens opened. This meant that the results would favour the drivers in the lower heats as they had the luck of a dry track. The winner of the top heat only managing 22nd in the round.”
