Riccardo Rabitti Wins Arena Race

AE reports – LRP factory driver Riccardo Rabitti has secured the win in dominating fashion in the 2009 Arena 1/8 Electric class! The 2nd edition of the indoor Arena off-road meeting took place in a big Rodeo Ring circuit in Voghera, one hour south of Milan, Italy. This year saw the introduction of the new and fast growing 1/8 electric off-road class, and once again the advantages of electric brushless systems and LiPo batteries compared to nitro engines were clearly displayed. Riccardo Rabitti started off with a blast and from the start of qualifying was obviously the dominant driver. Powered by LRP’s new VECTOR8 brushless motor and SPX8 brushless speed control, Riccardo was able to set lap times faster than any of his electric competitors as well as any of the nitro powered cars! Riccardo continued to dominate the event and qualified in the number one position. From there he was able to win all 3 A-finals and set the lap record with ease! This dominant victory was an impressive showcase and performance from driver, electronics, and chassis. Ricardo was very impressed with his LRP system: “Jumping with electric powered car was so much easier to do! The feeling was SUPER. The acceleration was very progressive and precise, [with] ZERO problems from the start to the end of the race! Very fast speed; perfect for such a big track.” RC10.com
