CML reports – “The Talywain club in South Wales played host to the first round of the BRCA 1/10th Off Road National Series, and the competitors were blessed with lovely sunny weather… The track was different to last year in that it was mainly astroturf with a large grass banked section at one end. The main problem drivers encountered was the main straight which had some nasty bumps that would easily flip a car into a series barrel rolls and potential breakage. The rest of the track was high grip and quite choppy which made for a real challenge. In 2wd it was last years champion Ellis Stafford who took pole using Savox servos in his car with team mate Phil Sleigh in second with Associated man Lee Martin in 3rd. The finals were a disaster for pole man Ellis and he never got a run at all which left Phil, Lee and Paul Bradby to fight it out for victory. As it was it was Phil Sleigh who took the honours in front of the 2 Associated drivers to record his first National victory, so congratulations to Phil.” Find Out More… [Source – cmldistribution.co.uk]
