Neo Buggy reports – “The first race of the 2009 Season in Portugal was held in Torres Vedras, on 14/15 February, it was the Portuguese Open 2009. In this first race of the season, the attendance was high, everyone was there, the surprise was from Miguel Matias, our finest driver, one of the best in the World and the best Portuguese driver, didn’t appeared, perhaps making his last decision about moving places. So the Open started on the Saturday, only the first Heat was made and before that was practicing heats, but mainly it was for the drivers to practice and know a little more about the track and their conditions. In both two days of the competition, the weather was fine and sunny, what was everyone wish, mainly because it had rained till middle of the week and before that. The TQ went to Xray’s young talent Ricardo Monteiro with his SIIM engine, being very consistent and running away from all the bad luck that was affecting the other drivers, having the credit for that.” Read More… [Source – neobuggy.net]
