Riccardo Rabitti Wins Montpellier GP

Neo Buggy reports – “Italian Losi driver Riccardo Rabitti has taken a surprise victory at the Montpellier GP in Southern France today. Reigning European Champion Savoya led off from pole, hotly chased by Yannick Aigoin – desperate to convert his TQ to victory on his debut for Novarossi. This looked a definate possibility as Savoya and Aigoin battled after 10mins and Aigoin began to pull away, he started to stretch his lead of which only Savoya and Rabitti could keep up. At the 40 min mark, Savoya encountered problems and had to pit for repairs, re-joining in 4th place, at this point Aigoin had a comfortable lead of 25 seconds to Rabitti which he kept until 8mins to go, at which point Aigoin retired due to battery problems. This handed a surprise victory to Riccardo Rabitti and ensured a Pro-Line podium.” [Source – neobuggy.net]
