Team Xray reports – The Norths premier Indoor Winter Series returned to the Don Vally Stadium in Sheffield after its summer break to a resounding success. We only had 90 drivers in attendance at this round, not the full 120 we normally get but this was due to the BRCA AGM on the same date. Unfortunately we could not get another date in the Stadium so we had to clash. As always the organising club SDRCC did a fantastic job of building the track and setting up the pit area. The Don Valley Stadium offers tables/chairs and also mains power for all drivers which is a big bonus as you do not have to carry in big 12V batteries! The track featured a unique diagonal straight for the first time and was like Marmite, you hated it or you loved it! The track markings were also taped down as a fix for the ‘moving’ track as some people have referred to it as. This meant the track did not move but it was very unforgiving to say the least! We will work on a different solution for the next round.” Read More… [Our thanks go to Xray for this news]
